COASTAL CLASSIC

GURNEY’S | MONTAUK, NY

An idyllic seaside retreat complementing the coastal shores of the Atlantic, no resort is quite as synonymous with The End as Montauk staple Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa. Designed by Michael Kramer of Michael Thomas & Co, visitors will have their pick between 158 accommodations ranging from rooms, suites, and beachfront cottages, each of which offers unobstructed ocean views with select direct beach access. Each interior is designed for coastal comfort and luxury living, featuring a neutral color palette, reclaimed oak hardwood, custom-made furniture, brass fixtures, ombre drapery, and vintage Gurney photographs. Additional suites are appointed with modern amenities such as a wet bar, iPads, Nespresso machines, and beachside essentials.

From Manhattan to Montauk, LDV Hospitality brings signature eateries like Italian hotspot Scarpetta Beach, bistro-style American kitchen Tillie’s, and OG Coffee & Juice. This season will also launch fitness events at Gurney’s, a mix of HIIT, barre, and pilates from NYC-based trainers.  From Memorial Day to Labor Day, running every weekend will be a collective of resident/guest DJs at The Beach Club and The Firepit, along with an Onia Swimwear Pop-Up.

Take in the 1,000 ft private sand beach from the confines of a daybed at The Beach Club before riding waves with water sport rentals from CoreysWave Water sports. The resort’s acclaimed spa is equipped with an ocean-fed swimming pool, Finnish sauna, eucalyptus-infused Russian steam room for those looking for a weekend detox. The comprehensive fitness center features a spinning facility and wellness programming. A seasoned hospitality team and summer specialist will have guests opting out of summer shares for obtaining a piece of The End at Gurney’s Montauk. All-access memberships are also available.

Gurney’s Resorts offers additional waterfront accommodations, Gurney’s Star Island Resort & Marina & Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina in Newport, Rhode Island.

STATELY SOPHISTICATION

TOPPING ROSE HOUSE | BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY

Echoing the quintessential elegance of the East End lies the stately Topping Rose House. Surrounded by the lush greens and manicured hedges of Bridgehampton, this full-service luxury hotel provides guests with an idyllic Hamptons experience year-round. Designed by Architects Roger Ferris & Partners in tandem with Champalimaud Design, each took an active role in restoring this 1824 historic Greek Revival property. It is affixed with modern adaptations and a juxtaposition of contemporary and traditional interior elements. The property boasts 22 finely appointed guest rooms within the main house, studios, and cottages.

On-site amenities include a boutique, state-of-the-art fitness center, heated outdoor pool, and wellness center with treatment studios by Dr. Dennis Gross and Farmaesthetics. A farm-to-table restaurant by Chef Jean-Georges features seasonally grown produce from the properties farm. Peruse the interior art collection of local and international works before enjoying the extensive selection of curated domestic and international wines, including some of Long Island’s most acclaimed. Ideally situated within walking distance of The Hamlet of Bridgehampton, guests can take a stroll to art galleries, boutiques, and local eateries. House vehicles from BMW, bicycle rentals, and beach transportation are also available upon request.

MARITIME MARVEL

BARON’S COVE | SAG HARBOR, NY

Baron’s Cove embarks on another season as Sag Habor’s premier waterfront resort, an all-American hideaway steeped in naval tradition. Initially built in the 1960s, the property will continue to maintain its rich legacy of entertainment; a roster of past prominent guests include Paul Newman, John & Elaine Steinbeck, Jackson Pollock, Truman Capote, and Art Garfunkel. Located on the harbor of South Fork’s north coast within the picturesque Village of Sag Harbor, New York, the newly expanded property features 67 rooms and suites designed by Colleen Bashaw, head of design for Cape Resorts. Each accommodation is adorned with plush bedding and soothing coastal accents referencing the heritage of this former whaling port.

Guests can retreat to the confines of serenity to enjoy weekend turndown service, hand-made bath products, alfresco dining in private garden patios, or evening cocktails on their adjoining teak decks. Additional amenities at Baron’s Cove include a dock shop, heated saltwater pool, tennis courts, fitness studio, beach service, and complimentary bike rentals. The on-site restaurant serves a sampling of American fare featuring fresh ingredients and local catches prepared daily by chef Nick Vogel. Enjoy a sunset over the marina from the second floor dining room or outdoor terrace before enjoying live weekend entertainment from the lobby lounge. Baron’s Cove is ideally located with access to Shelter Island, North Fork wine country, and The Hamptons.
